Why is there a maximum size limit? can I increase this?

The current Max canvas size is 5000x5000. You can check How do I change the size / aspect ratio of my template? for more details on how to modify it.

The larger your canvas, the more CPU it requires when Bannerbear generates images. The size limit is there to ensure the reliability of the platform.

That said, we understand some users have specific needs that require large canvases. If that’s the case, feel free to get in touch with us ↗.

Note: Canvas size above 3000x3000 is considered a Hi-res image and uses 3 API credits ↗.
